Solar energy: We are going for a more sustainable world

In Bromelias de Colombia we feel identified with the need to incorporate tangible actions in our strategic decisions and that, in addition, are closely related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), since these initiatives will help to face and reduce the impact of climate change, making rational use of natural resources and strengthening climate resilience.

As the United Nations indicates: tackling climate change and promoting sustainable development are two sides of the same coin that are mutually reinforcing; sustainable development will not be achieved without action against climate change. Conversely, many of the SDGs address the drivers of climate change.

Bromelias de Colombia in numbers:

On our way to sustainability, we are proud of the implementation of more than 80 solar panels that will allow us to operate with around 40% renewable energy.

In addition, each year we will avoid the emission of approximately 23 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Which is equivalent to about 280 trees planted.
